This article documents the process of assembling a "commercial microscope phone mount" using science bricks. While it may seem like a simple assembly, there are many aspects to consider when actually building it, such as the camera position of different phone brands, the distance from the phone camera to the eyepiece, the balance of the phone mount, and mechanical pivot points. This assembly method is designed specifically for the camera position and size of the iPhone 11 Pro. When assembling it yourself, you should prioritize the shooting results with your own phone.

Attaching to Eyepiece

When attaching the science bricks to the eyepiece, pay attention to the left-right balance and the horizontal height when tightening the nuts.

Distance Adjustment Components

The 90-degree blocks, short screws, nuts, and black knobs shown above are used to adjust the distance from the phone camera to the eyepiece.

If short screws are not available, you can use screws from the phone microscope (upright) instead.

Phone Position Adjustment

If the phone camera is in the center of the phone, the bottom long H-plate can be replaced with a short H-plate. If the phone camera is in the upper right corner, you may need to use a long H-plate as shown in the figure above, so there is enough space for the phone.

Using Knobs

Black knobs are used here because there are not enough nuts. You can also use nuts instead.
