SciLens Standalone Microscope and Long-term Observation System is a versatile experimental optical observation platform suitable for various application scenarios. This system can be mounted on various observation devices, both as a physical microscope and directly connected to a computer for long-term recording. The system uses standard C-mount connectors and can be combined with various self-designed lenses to flexibly complete observation architectures for different experimental needs.
First opened on July 15, 2017, with a limited quantity of 100 special instruments.
Introduction
It has an 8cm working distance and approximately 10μm resolution, but the image contrast and light illumination uniformity are not as good as the original USB camera lens.
The self-made lens comes with an aperture, and the front end can connect to an optical component mount. The lens length is adjustable, allowing you to combine optical components to achieve various required magnifications, apertures, and working distances.
Provides a connector for universal module objective mounts, allowing the use of microscope lenses.
Due to the inability to coat the lens and its shape design, although it has good resolution with an 8cm working distance and approximately 10μm resolution in the original design, the image contrast and light illumination uniformity are not as good as the original USB camera lens.
If you have strong requirements for these aspects, you can use it without modification, purchase a good CCTV lens of 16mm or larger, use a microscope objective, or use a telephoto module lens.
